07 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Good to know.

The essentials before working together, answered simply.

Which institutions and disciplines does DramaCare Education support?
DramaCare Education supports universities, universities of applied sciences, private schools, academies, vocational schools and continuing education providers. Relevant disciplines include film, television, media, acting, theatre, music, dance, art, design and content creation. Content is adapted to the discipline and stage of training.
How can our institution benefit?
DramaCare complements professional training with psychological skills. Learners can practise managing stress, feedback and collaboration. Educators gain guidance for challenging conversations and diverse learning needs. Institutions can develop suitable teaching modules, project support and clearly coordinated routes to help.
Are there dedicated formats for learners and educators?
Yes. Formats for students, trainees and continuing education participants focus on self-understanding, collaboration and preparation for professional life. Educator programmes address conversations, neurodivergence, professional roles and supervision. Joint formats are possible when the aims and setting are appropriate.
Can we start with a single session and integrate it into our teaching?
Yes. A guest talk or workshop can be a starting point within a seminar, project week or educator development programme. Topics can later be developed through a series of modules. We align learning goals, practical examples and scope with your existing teaching and training.
Does DramaCare offer workshops on neurodivergence in education and training?
Yes. Workshops explore different ways of perceiving, learning and working, potential barriers and helpful agreements. Educators and learners develop practical options for teaching and projects. The focus is on understanding and suitable learning conditions; workshops do not provide individual diagnostic assessments.
Which psychological topics are relevant to film and acting schools?
Topics can include psychological processes in acting, identification with a character, emotion and bodily awareness, personal boundaries and de-roling: consciously transitioning out of a role. Auditions, rejection, feedback and public visibility can also be explored. Content complements artistic training and is agreed with teaching leads.
What does mental health coordination for training projects involve?
DramaCare can support study, training and practical projects from preparation through to follow-up. Options include reviewing sensitive material, team kick-offs, confidential conversations, support with conflict and post-project reflection. Scope, responsibilities and contact arrangements are agreed with your institution in advance.
How does DramaCare complement existing counselling and complaints services?
DramaCare coordinates with your existing contacts. Roles, responsibilities and referral routes are clarified in advance. Workshops and project support do not replace psychotherapy or formal complaints procedures. Mental support is an agreed service, not an around-the-clock emergency response.
Can educators book supervision independently of a workshop?
Yes. Educators and tutors can enquire about supervision and consultation as standalone services. Topics may include demanding conversations, group dynamics, professional roles or difficult project experiences. We agree individual or team formats and on-site or online delivery around your needs.
What information does the institution receive from confidential conversations?
Individual conversation content is not routinely passed to the commissioning institution. Before work starts, we clarify confidentiality, its limits, data handling and any potential feedback. Where feedback about the collaboration is agreed, its format and scope are made transparent.
Are workshops and project support available across Germany and online?
Yes. DramaCare offers on-site formats throughout Germany and online sessions. The right format depends on learning goals, the group and the project. Work outside Germany and the preferred working language are agreed individually.
What do programmes cost, how long do they last and what group sizes are possible?
Fees, duration and group size depend on the aims, format and support required. After an initial conversation, you receive a tailored proposal detailing content, scope and costs. To enquire, share your institution, department, role and a short description of your needs; a finished brief is not required.
